Privacy of your Personal Information.

We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act and the requirements of the Australian Training Framework.

 

What information do we collect?

We collect different types of information from you. This includes:

  • Your name, personal address and phone number.
  • Your occupation, employer, address, phone number, FAX and email address.
  • Assessments of your skill levels.
  • Your evaluation of the courses and services that we supply
  • Transaction information including credit card details (if relevant).

Why we collect your information.

 

We collect your information for a variety of reasons including

  • Identifying you within our system.
  • Maintaining accurate records of courses you have attended.
  • To better understand your needs.
  • Quality Assurance and continuing and the continuing improvement of our service.
  • To offer you products and information that we think may be of interest and benefit to you.
 

Who we share your information with.

 

We may be asked by your employer or by people within your organisation for the names of individuals that have completed a particular course. They may also want to know what you thought of the course and/or or services.
We may use this information in an aggregated and ‘de-identified’ format for Quality Assurance purposes.

 
   

Questions we are often asked.

 

Do I have to sign anything? Organisations have to inform you of their Privacy Policy. Some will advise you that providing your personal information is taken by them to indicate consent. However the Australian Quality Training Framework Standards require that we have your signature. We will ask you to do this at the Workshop when you register.

 
   

I don’t mind you having my details but I don’t want anyone else contacting me.

 

We have a “Use of Personal Information’ form where you can indicate who can access your information and for what purposes. It is available from our Office or at the Workshop.

 
   

What happens if I change my mind about how my personal information is used?

 

Just contact the office and we will send you out that form but make sure you date it.

 
   

Can I access my personal information?

 

Please write to us or FAX us and mark your request Attention: Records Manager. We prefer to receive written requests so that we can verify your identity.

The copyright of all course material and publicity material is invested in Soft@ware Learning, except where stated and may not be reproduced in whole or in part, recorded, loaned, broadcast, stored in a retrieval system or displayed publicly without prior permission.

Scheduling Courses:

Soft@ware Learning will endeavour to fulfil the dates of all Public Scheduled Courses; however Soft@ware Learning may cancel any Scheduled Course on notice.  If Soft@ware Learning cancels a course for which Client has  prepaid, Soft@ware Learning will re-schedule your training date or refund in full.

Cancellations and Transfers:

Please advise five working days notice in advance if you're unable to attend as late cancellations and/or no attendance on the day attracts a full fee. Substitute delegates are accepted at any stage and it is recognised that extenuating circumstances do sometimes apply and we are more than happy to discuss these.

Registration Changes:

All changes to Registrations must be made in writing or email.

Course Fees:

Soft@ware Learning requires payment in full prior to commencement unless other arrangements have been made.  10% GST is charged where applicable.

General:

Soft@ware Learning reserves the right to change course schedules, course pricing, discontinue courses, modify course content, limit class size or cancel courses.  Registrations are confirmed via email upon enrolment.  In the case of course cancellation, confirmed Participants will be notified (where possible) at least five (5) working days prior to the Public Scheduled course dates.
